Uses of Edronax:

Edronax is an antidepressant drug belonging to the class of Selective Nonadrenaline Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRI) and is used in the treatment of depressive illness. It works by selectively inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine in the brain.

Dosage:

Edronax is a prescription drug that can be taken orally with or without meals. It is essential for you to stick to the dosage prescribed by your doctor and take the medicine at equal intervals everyday. Do not stop taking it abruptly without the consent of your doctor as it may result in worsening your symptoms.

Warning and precautions:

Do not take this drug if you are hypersensitive to it.

Caution and close drug monitoring is required if you have been diagnosed with severe renal impairment, liver disease, epilepsy, bipolar disorder, glaucoma, seizures, cardiovascular disease, thyroid disorders, urinary retention, brain tumor or enlarged prostrate.

It is important for you to tell your doctor if you are pregnant or lactating before taking Edronax.

Do not consume alcohol when taking this medicine.

Cigarette smoking reduces the effectiveness of Edronax.

Drug Interactions:

Edronax should not be taken with other medicines such as antiarrhythmics, antipsychotics, cyclosporine, imidazole and triazole antifungals and tricyclic antidepressants. Caution is advised when using this medicine along with mono amine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) as it may increase the risk of toxicity.

Some of the most common side effects of the medication include insomnia, increased sweating, urinary retention, constipation, dysuria, dry mouth, postural hypotension, vertigo, tachycardia, drowsiness and fatigue.
